Lagos Life Safety and Privacy: What the Game Stores

Lagos Life’s Privacy Policy says it does not sell personal data or use advertising trackers. It stores account and game data so play can continue, and it uses one essential session cookie plus an optional visit-counting cookie. These are the operator’s published practices, not an independent audit.

What information does Lagos Life keep?

The policy lists your username, display name and hashed password; email is optional and used for password reset. It also saves your Sim, homes, money, jobs, relationships and progress. Your in-game location helps other players see and meet you. According to the policy, only you and your chat partner can see a private chat.

If you upload a map ad, the game stores its image, title and link. For payments, Bachs handles card or bank details, while the game keeps a reference, amount and payment status. See Lagos Life account rules and Lagos Life top up rules before sharing account or payment information.

Which cookies can you choose?

The policy names ll_session as essential for staying logged in. ll_vid is optional and counts unique visits only if you choose Accept; choosing Essential only leaves it off. The browser also stores some game content and settings locally to help the game load faster. The operator says Cloudflare estimates visitor country and city, but it does not store your IP address in its visit statistics.

Does the game share data with anyone?

The operator says it may share aggregate, anonymous play statistics with partners, such as when the game is busiest, but does not share private chats or personal details. The policy lists Cloudflare for hosting, database and password reset emails; Bachs for payments; and browser push providers for notifications. It says connections are encrypted and passwords are hashed.

Can you see or delete your data?

The policy says account and game data are kept while your account exists. On a deletion request, account, game, chat and email data are removed, except payment records required by law. It also says you can ask to access, correct or download your data, or withdraw consent, under Nigeria’s 2023 Data Protection Act. The published contact route is @shallyr inside the game. Read the Lagos Life age limit if you are signing up: players must be 18 or older.
